January 2025 update

Some protection for deposited money starts on 1 April, with compensation rules starting on 1 July.

• Depositor protection starts in stages — Some depositor-protection rules start on 1 April; compensation-scheme provisions start on 1 July. Starts 1 Apr and 1 Jul 2025
• Fast-track applications get new fees — Fast-track approval applicants must pay prescribed fees and levies to the EPA. Starts 7 Feb 2025
• Rules for deposit takers begin — Rules called Deposit Takers Regulations 2025 take effect. Starts 1 Jul 2025
