This month, benefit rules, abuse-in-care redress, education, consumer credit, road offences and fees, electric-vehicle licences, Tauranga tolls, and large nitrous oxide canisters change.
- Benefit rules are being modernised — Benefit rules change for medical evidence, jobseeker support, supported living payments, and children turning 18. Starts 1 Jul 2026
- Abuse-in-care redress system is established — A redress scheme can offer apologies, financial help, counselling, wellbeing support, and assistance accessing care records. Starts 1 Jul 2026
