Bills this month would change clothing labels, dairy quotas, geographical-name protections and overseas investment rules, and close the Productivity Commission, moving its work to Treasury.

• Proposal to update EU trade rules — Would change clothing labels, dairy quotas, geographical-name protections and overseas investment rules to help implement New Zealand’s EU trade agreement.
• Proposal to close Productivity Commission — Would disestablish the Productivity Commission and transfer its remaining work, obligations and assets to Treasury for a new regulation agency.
