Proposed laws would give consumers repair rights, modernise insurance rules, and let shops trade on Good Friday and Easter Sunday while protecting workers.

Proposal to give consumers repair rights — The proposal would require manufacturers to provide repair information, parts and tools, and let consumers ask suppliers to repair goods.
Proposal to modernise insurance rules — The proposal would bring insurance contract rules together and update them for people and businesses buying insurance.
Proposal to allow Easter trading — The proposal would allow shops to open and sell alcohol on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, while keeping worker protections.
Proposal to make small social security changes — The proposal would make minor policy and technical changes to superannuation, benefits and veterans’ support, and repeal an old home-ownership law.
Proposal to let nurse practitioners obtain medicines — Proposal to let authorised prescribers obtain some unapproved medicines dropped; it would have helped when approved medicines were unavailable.
Proposal to help pay for cancer treatment dropped — Proposal to let public hospitals administer some unfunded cancer medicines dropped; it would have shared administration costs between patients and the Crown.
Proposal to add environmental right dropped — Proposal to add a right to a sustainable environment to the Bill of Rights dropped; it would have protected that right in New Zealand law.
Proposal to simplify winery tasting rules — The proposal would let winery cellar doors hold both on-licences and off-licences, making paid tastings easier.
Proposal to change a charitable trust — The proposal would change the McLean Institute trust’s charitable purpose, administration and board powers.
Proposal to settle Tauranga iwi claims — The proposal would provide collective redress for the Tauranga Moana Iwi Collective, representing three iwi.
Proposal to settle Ngāti Ranginui claims — The proposal would settle claims by Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Ranginui.
